December News
Storytime and seasonal crafts have been a wonderful way to spend our Friday afternoons. We enjoyed all the kids who attended. Their creative minds provided us with some great seasonal décor that we were able to display in the Library. We would like to wish the community a Happy New Year!
2025 is just beginning, and so is our list of good reads for this year’s Book Club. Book Club is held at 5:30 PM on the first Wednesday of every month. We’ll start the New Year discussing the book A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthurs Court by Well-Known Author Mark Twain.
For Book Club in February we will have you reading Full of Grace by Dorthea Benton Grace, Amazon boasts that it’s a moving story about the power of love and the miracles of life―chock full of Southern wit, sass, and charm
Grace is an intelligent, (struggling-to-be) independent 31-year-old single woman living (in sin!) with the man she’d marry if they both weren’t so commitment-phobic. Michael is a doctor and a scientist and Grace has a good idea that he’s also an atheist. Over the years, this dutiful Catholic girl has become ambivalent about her faith. But her family is as devoutly old-fashioned as it gets.
The stage is set for a major showdown that might just change Grace’s outlook on life, family, and the South itself.
Do you have a secret stash of overdue books? Well, we’ll let you keep the secret, but return the books! We’re offering a New Year’s Amnesty on late fees. No questions asked, no judgments made. Just bring back the books, and your secret will be safe with us. Happy New Year let’s start fresh!
We have a new Reading challenge for 2025. Reading Bingo for a fun way to meet your reading goals. Come see us for your bingo card. We hope to host a game night Fundraiser in February anyone who would like to volunteer to help us have a fun Game Night, or if anyone has any suggestions on games to play as well as Bingo. Please let the Library Director or Board members know! We can’t wait to hear from you and enjoy a night of fun and games with everyone at the Library.
Come on down to the Library! We always welcome your comments on how we can make your visits more enjoyable, and what types of things you would like to see us offer. Feel free to send us a message through Messenger or drop us an email with your suggestions. Also, if you need an extension on a book or DVD please email or call so we can get you an extension. Thank you!
