Dino saurs Are Roaring Into Downtown Florence This Summer! 
Get ready to stomp, chomp, and read your way through the summer as we “Unearth GOOD Books” during this year’s Summer Reading Program at the library!
Explorers of all ages are invited to dig into exciting stories, discover new worlds, and embark on a reading adventure millions of years in the making. 

Kickoff Event – May 9th Our Summer Reading Kickoff will launch the adventure
(time to be announced), so mark your calendars and prepare for a dino-mite start! 

All Summer Long:

Saturday Reading

Expeditions at the library Fossil-worthy reading challenges and book logs 

Dinosaur-themed crafts and hands-on activities 

Roaring story times for younger readers -STEM digs and discovery stations 

Games, scavenger hunts, and prehistoric prizes 

Opportunities to “excavate” new favorite books! 

Participants will be able to track their reading, complete fun “missions,” and earn exciting rewards along the way.

Whether you’re a tiny hatchling just learning to read or a seasoned T-Rex reader, there’s something for everyone!

The Book Club Selection for the month of June will be Last Light Over Galveston by Jennifer Wright.  

Effective May 1st Mary Jane Grimmett will be the library director.  New hours will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 1 to 4 p.m.
