You may find a brightly colored rock in your travel around town.  It’s a project by the Florence library and we are asking any kid who stumbles across one of these to bring it back to the library in exchange for a surprise gift.  Each rock will have a unique sticker on the bottom identifying it as a part of the fun project.  Parents, let us help your children to keep their reading skills sharp over the summer and earn cool prizes along the way!  Start date is June 4th.  One prize per child per week.

The Book Club will meet on June 6th at 5:30 p.m. for a potluck meal followed by a discussion on the books, “Beneath a Scarlet Sky”: by Mark Sullivan and ” Kings of Broken Things” by Theodore Wheeler.  Come join us!

Children will have the month of June, July and August to read books starting with a author’s last name in the alphabet.  They will receive an awesome prize for reading 26 books over the summer.  Story Hour for the smaller kids will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturdays, June 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd with a party on June 30th.  This year’s theme  is” Libraries Rock” .  Come have a “rockin” good time at the library this summer!
